Tasks with kanban, SLA and deadlines inside your customer service

A complete work manager, in the style of Asana and ClickUp, linked to your conversations, contacts and deals. What the customer asked for on WhatsApp becomes a task with an owner, due date and priority, without leaving the screen.

What the GWhats Tasks module is

The Tasks module is a work manager built into the customer service platform. Every task has a title, description, assignees, due date, priority and status, lives in a list and can be tracked on a kanban board or calendar. Break large jobs into subtasks, chain dependencies, repeat routines with recurrence and schedule reminders so no deadline slips.

The difference is the integration: tasks can be created from a conversation, a contact record or a CRM deal, and also by automation rules. SLA policies, templates, checklists, comments, watchers, attachments and an auditable activity timeline complete the package for support, sales and operations teams that need to deliver predictably.

Everything your team needs to get work done

Professional work-management features, without switching tools.

    List, board and calendar

The same data in three views: a dense table with bulk actions, a drag-and-drop kanban by status, and a calendar by due date.

    Subtasks and dependencies

Split deliverables into steps with their own owner and deadline. Tasks blocked by others show a badge until the blocker is resolved.

    Automatic recurrence

Daily, weekly, monthly or yearly routines. When the current task is completed, the next occurrence is created on its own, cloning assignees, list and labels.

    In-app and email reminders

Scheduled alerts for you, another user or the assignees, at the date and time you choose. Each reminder fires exactly once.

    Task SLAs

Targets in minutes for first action and completion, targeted by priority or list. Active, at-risk, met or breached badge on every card.

    Task templates

Blueprints that pre-fill title, description, priority, list, labels, attributes and even subtasks. Standardize onboarding, tickets and quality checklists.

    Checklists, comments and watchers

Team discussion inside the task, checklist items with owner and deadline, watchers who follow without owning, and attachments reused from the media library.

    Task panel in the conversation

Create and track tasks next to the conversation, on the contact record or on the CRM deal. The task is linked to the record from birth.

    Real-time reports

Totals by status and priority, completion rate, overdue, average cycle time, busiest assignees and SLA distribution per period.

    Views

Kanban board for the daily stand-up, calendar to plan the week

Switch between list, board and calendar without losing filters by assignee, status, priority, list, label or deadline. Cards show priority, due date, checklist and attachment counters and the blocked and SLA badges.

    • Six statuses: backlog, to do, in progress, in review, done and cancelled.
    • Bulk actions in list view: change status, assignee or label on many tasks at once.
    • Calendar placed by due date to balance the load per day.
    Customer service

The customer's request becomes a task without leaving the chat

The task panel appears next to the conversation, on the contact record and in the deal detail. Tasks created there already carry the link, and automation rules can open tasks by themselves from service events.

    • Link to conversation, contact, company and deal, opened with one click.
    • Resilient link: if the record is deleted, the task keeps existing.
    • Automatic creation by automation rules and by the Flow Builder.
    Operational maturity

SLAs and templates to operate predictably

Set time targets for first action and completion, target them by priority or list and follow each task's badge. Reusable templates seed the creation form with everything ready, including subtasks.

    • SLA status: active, at risk, met or breached, reflecting the most critical policy.
    • Policies and templates can be enabled or disabled at any time.
    • Read-only activity timeline: an auditable trail of what changed and who changed it.
    Reports

How the team's work is going, on one screen

The Reports tab aggregates in real time volume, distribution by status and priority, completion rate, overdue, on time, average cycle time, the eight busiest assignees and SLA compliance, filtered by period.

    • Live lists of overdue and due-soon tasks, subtasks included.
    • Date filter by creation date, to compare weeks, months or campaigns.
    • Anyone who can see the task list can see the reports, no extra permission.

    How it works

    1. 1

      Create the task

From scratch, from a template or straight from the conversation, with owner, deadline, priority and list.

    2. 2

      Structure the work

Add subtasks, checklist, dependencies, recurrence and reminders.

    3. 3

      Track it on the board

Drag cards between statuses, filter by team and watch the SLA badges.

    4. 4

      Measure and adjust

Use reports to find bottlenecks, reassign in bulk and review targets.

    Frequently asked questions

Is the Tasks module enabled by default?

No. Tasks is an optional module enabled by an account administrator. Once active, it appears in the sidebar and the task panel is shown on conversations, contacts and deals.

Can I create a task from a WhatsApp conversation?

Yes. The task panel sits next to the conversation, and a task created there is linked to that conversation and contact from the start. Automation rules can also create tasks automatically from service events.

    How do task SLAs work?

An administrator creates policies with targets in minutes for first action and completion, optionally targeted by priority or list. Each matching task shows a badge with its status: active, at risk, met or breached.

What happens to subtasks if I delete the parent task?

They don't disappear. Subtasks survive the deletion of the parent and become orphans, so it's worth organizing before deleting. A task can never be its own ancestor: cycles are blocked.

    Do recurring tasks duplicate occurrences?

No. The next occurrence is generated when the current one is completed, cloning assignees, list, labels and attributes with shifted dates. Generation is idempotent and the new task starts in the to-do status.

    Who receives a task's notifications?

The assignees and the watchers, as long as they have a valid email on their profile. Comments emit an internal event that feeds automations and webhooks, and each user is added as a watcher only once.
